Agency contract
Regulatory Ref. art.1742 et seq. of the Italian Civil Code.
Agreement by which an enterpriser (so-called principal) entrusts to an agent the task, on a stable basis, to promote, in a given territorial area assigned to him, the execution of agreements with third parties. As a rule, the agent does not directly execute the agreements on behalf of the enterpriser but transmits to the latter the "orders" collected, which the principal is free to accept, or not. Only sometimes is the power of representation granted to the agent. The remuneration of the agent usually consists of commission on completed business.
